“Say it with flowers”October 21, 2015
Celebrating 25, fashion-filled years in the Chinese capital and currently housing 37 luxury brand stores across three levels of the hotel, The Peninsula Arcade will take customer service to the next level through its pageboy delivery service via electric bicycle. Peninsula pageboys will be out and about on their bicycles in the streets of Beijing, handing out roses to lucky passers-by and offering plenty of opportunities to win fabulous prizes including a romantic, weekend stay in a Peninsula Suite with dinner for two at Huang Ting.
Starting on 12 October and running until the end of 2015, customers can enjoy complimentary all-day parking with any purchase made at The Peninsula Arcade. Furthermore, patrons who spend between RMB 40,000 and RMB 59,999 at The Peninsula Arcade on the same day can enjoy a Peninsula pageboy delivery service of their goods to any destination in Beijing between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm, and the gift of a beautiful bouquet of 100 roses. Customers who spend RMB 60,000 or more at The Peninsula Arcade on any one day, will be offered a complimentary drop-off within Beijing in a bespoke, Peninsula BMW limousine. Meanwhile, the hotel will busy itself sending a bouquet of 100 roses via Peninsula page to the same address.
From 8 to 9 October, Beijingers should keep their eyes peeled for the striking image of a Peninsula pageboy in full livery riding one of the hotel’s bespoke electric bicycles – part of the hotel’s famed vehicle fleet and all decked out in Peninsula Brewster green. The best chance of spotting the pageboys will be in the neighbourhoods of Sanlitun, Jianguomen and the financial district. They will be showing their love with no fewer than 100 roses that will be passed out, one by one, to bystanders. Attached to each rose will be information about the pageboy delivery service available to shoppers at The Peninsula Arcade.
As part of the “Say it with Flowers” campaign, The Peninsula Beijing is launching a fun, online competition that will run from 8 to 9 October and is open to all. All people need do is snap a photo of one of the Peninsula pages as they move around town delivering roses and then share the photo with their friends on Weibo or WeChat. Each day, the first three postings to be uploaded to The Peninsula Beijing page on these sites will win their owners a stunning bouquet of 50 roses, sent with love from The Peninsula Beijing. Finally, there will be a lucky prize draw for all participants in the competition. The Peninsula Beijing is offering a grand prize of a weekend stay in a Peninsula Suite with dinner for two at the hotel’s esteemed Cantonese restaurant Huang Ting and enjoy a SPA treatment in the Peninsula SPA.
